Crash shuts down I-70 WB near St. Louis Lambert International Airport

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle accident Monday afternoon completely closed Interstate 70 westbound near St. Louis Lambert International Airport in northwest St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The crash took place in the westbound lanes of I-70 east of Interstate 170 and was first reported at 3:47 p.m.

MoDOT STL projected the scene would clear at 3:52 p.m.

Motorists were told to expect standstill traffic approaching the area.

At 3:56 p.m., the accident was reported to have been cleared at 3:51 p.m.
