Man seriously injured in single-vehicle crash near Ozark

OZARK, MO — A 31-year-old Merriam Woods man was seriously injured Tuesday evening in a single-car accident near Ozark, according to a crash report by Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Christian County police reported the incident on Sawmill Road five miles south of Ozark at 8:28 p.m.

The man was traveling westbound on Sawmill Road in a 2000 Chrysler Sebring when he failed to yield to a Christian County deputy, crossed the centerline and ran off the roadway, striking a tree.

He was transported to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with serious injuries. His current condition has not been disclosed.
