8-year-old boy hurt in rear-end accident in Wentzville

WENTZVILLE, MO – An 8-year-old boy was injured after the vehicle he was riding in was rear-ended by another car in Wentzville yesterday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on eastbound I-70, near the Wentzville Parkway exit, at 11:40 a.m.

29-year-old Booneville woman Jessica D. Moore, operating a 2011 Mazda CX7, failed to keep watch on the roadway, and collided with the back of a 2008 Hyundai Tucson.

A passenger in the Tucson, an 8-year-old boy from Wright City, was taken to the hospital in Lake St. Louis for the treatment of minor injuries.

Moore and the driver of the Tucson, 30-year-old Wright City woman Ashley R. Brown-Joiner, were not reported as injured.
