71-year-old Washington woman injured in three-vehicle crash

UNION, MO – A 71-year-old Washington woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 47 and Clearview Road on Monday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 42-year-old Robert V. Prince was traveling north on State Highway 47 in a 2012 Dodge RAM 3500. He failed to stop in time for a changing traffic light and t-boned a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country traveling west on Clearview Road. The impact pushed the Chrysler off the road.

Police report the Dodge continued moving on the road and struck a 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt that was coming to a stop on southbound State Highway 47 for the light. The accident happened around 10:45 a.m.

Susan C. Reed, the driver of the Chrysler, was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington for moderate injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

Steven D. Menke, the driver of the Chevrolet, was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.

Prince was not wearing a seat belt.

Both the Dodge and the Chrysler were both totaled. The Chevrolet sustained extensive damages.
