71-year-old driver injured in Ralls County accident

NEW LONDON, MO – A 71-year-old New London driver was injured in a crash on Highway V on Wednesday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robert E. Platte, 71, was traveling east on Highway V in a 2013 Ford F-150. The Ford slid off the highway and hit a tree around 10:50 a.m.

Platte was transported to Hannibal Regional for minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

The Ford sustained extensive damages.
