32-year-old man killed in Maries County rollover accident

VICHY, MO (MARIES COUNTY) – A driver was killed after he collided with two buildings in Maries County on Friday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred in Vichy, on Highway 63, at 5:35 p.m., when a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by 32-year-old Columbia man Travis L. Swearengin, went off the right side of the highway.

The vehicle crashed into two different buildings, then rolled over onto its top in a driveway.

Swearengin, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:35 p.m.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.
