2 hospitalized after single-vehicle crash in Pike County

PIKE COUNTY, MO – Two people are recovering in the hospital after a single-vehicle collision in Pike County Wednesday night.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 9:10 p.m. along Route NN just south of Pike County Road 251.

Officials at the scene of the crash believe 39-year-old Donald Blackwell lost control of his 2010 Chevrolet Silverado and traveled off the road before striking a tree.

both Blackwell and his 34-year-old passenger, Ashley Miller, were transported to Pike County memorial hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.

No information regarding what may have caused him to lose control of the vehicle has been made available at this time.
