19-year-old driver sustains moderate injuries in Highway DD crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MO – A 19-year-old Truxton driver sustained moderate injuries in a crash on Highway DD on Friday morning.

Tyler R. Kirk was traveling east on Highway DD in a 1997 Ford Ranger when he traveled off the right side of the road, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. The Ford hit a culvert and ground before it overturned several times. Police report the accident happened east of Schroeder Road around 7:50 a.m.

Kirk was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph for his injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

The Ford was totaled.
