Young woman injured in single-car collision near Gerald

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO — A 19-year-old Union resident was injured Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash near Gerald in Franklin County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred along Buffalo Ridge Road north of Highway ZZ and was reported at 10:00 p.m.

The woman was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze southbound on Buffalo Ridge Road when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to run off the right of the road and strike a bridge rail.

The driver was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington with moderate injuries. Her condition was not disclosed.
