Young man injured in motorcycle crash near Eureka

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO — A 22-year-old House Springs man was hospitalized Monday afternoon after a motorcycle accident near Eureka, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Trooper J. S. Huskey responded to the crash on Twin River Road east of Jim Weber Road at around 1:08 p.m.

The young man was traveling westbound on the road and performing a wheelie on a 2003 Honda CBR600RR when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed, causing him to eject from the bike.

The rider was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with moderate injuries.

The motorcycle sustained damages resulting in total loss.
