Woman severely injured in downtown St. Louis crash

ST. LOUIS, MO – Officials in St. Louis rescued a woman whose car had landed on top of her following a high-speed crash Tuesday evening.

According to KSDK, the 28-year-old woman was traveling at a high rate of speed along Hwy 44 near Biddle Street at about 7:30 p.m. Police believe she lost control of her vehicle and collided with a guard rail and chain-link fence.

The woman was ejected from the vehicle which eventually landed on top of her. She was then rushed to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

Details regarding her condition have yet to be released. No others were injured as a result of the crash.
