Woman riding scooter injured in downtown crash

ST. LOUIS, MO – A woman on a scooter was hurt Friday after being struck by a vehicle downtown, according to KSDK.

The accident happened near the intersection of North 7th Street and Washington Avenue, a little after midnight. The victim was riding a Bird scooter when a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old man collided with her.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries and is expected to survive.

The driver stayed at the scene after the collision and cooperated with authorities.

The identities of the victim and the driver have not yet been released.

Police continue to investigate the collision.
