Woman injured in two-car crash on Route C in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO — A 57-year-old woman was injured Sunday afternoon after a head-on crash with another vehicle on Route C near Steelville, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Trooper B. M. Breedlove reported the accident at 17158 Route C at around 2;36 p.m.

The woman was driving a 2006 Hyundai Sonata eastbound on Route C when her vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a westbound 2008 Chevrolet HHR head-on. Both vehicles came to a stop on the northern edge of the road.

The woman was transported by ambulance to Washington County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet HHR, a 59-year-old man, was not reported injured.

According to the MSHP crash report, both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
