Woman injured in rear-end collision on I-270

ST. CHARLES, MO – A 50-year-old woman was taken to the hospital following a rear-end collision along I-270 early Tuesday morning.

According to an official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-270 just north of Olive Boulevard at about 6:00 a.m.

The accident report states that the driver of a 2016 Hyundai Elantra failed to notice slowed traffic and collided with the rear of a 2011 Honda CRV. The occupant in the CRV, Noeli Carballo-Espinosa was transported to Maryland Heights to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
