Woman injured after multi-car crash on I-70 WB in northwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — A 34-year-old woman was injured early Friday morning in a collision involving three vehicles on Interstate 70 westbound in northwest St. Louis, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on a stretch of I-70 westbound east of state Highway U and was reported by Trooper K. G. Barba shortly after 1:00 a.m.

A 2011 Rolls Royce Ghost heading westbound on I-70 when its driver, failing to maintain a proper distance between other vehicles, rear-ended a 2008 Toyota Yaris. The impact from the first crash caused the Rolls Royce to skid to the left and rear-end a 2006 Lexus GS.

The driver of the Lexus was transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the causing Rolls Royce and the driver of the Toyota Yaris were not reported injured.

The Lexus was totaled in the accident. The Toyota Yaris sustained moderate damage, and the Rolls Royce was significantly damaged.
