Woman hospitalized after two-car crash in Ste. Genevieve County

STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MO — A 53-year-old French Village woman suffered injuries Tuesday evening when her car was struck head-on by another vehicle near Festus, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on Dry Fork Road west of Highway DD at around 5:00 p.m.

A 26-year-old French Village man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on Dry Fork Road when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a westbound 2016 Ford Fusion driven by the woman. The Impala overturned from the impact of the crash.

The woman was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with moderate injuries.

The Impala driver was not reported injured in the crash.

The woman’s Fusion sustained moderate damages and the man’s Impala was extensively damaged. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
