Woman, 25, injured in single-vehicle accident in rural Laclede County

LEBANON, MO (LACLEDE COUNTY) – A 25-year-old woman was taken to the hospital Friday evening following a car accident in rural Laclede County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on Kinfolk Road near Mountain Creek, about 10 miles to the northwest of Lebanon, at 5:20 p.m. A 1999 Ford Explorer went off the side of the road and collided with an embankment.

The driver, 25-year-old Meredith N. Shanahan, of Lebanon, was taken to Mercy Lebanon Hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries.

She was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.

No other injuries were reported in the collision. The Explorer was totaled.
