Warrenton woman sustains injuries in three-vehicle collision

WENTZVILLE, MO – A 35-year-old Warrenton woman was injured in a three-vehicle collision on westbound I-70 on Wednesday morning.

Police report Brittney Y. Acevedo was traveling westbound on I-70 near mile marker 208 when her 2008 Mercury Grand Marquies slid out of control around 11:38 a.m. It traveled into the path of a semi, driven by 21-year-old Spencer A. Lane. The semi struck the side of the Mercury. A box truck, driven by 30-year-old Robert E. Cazares, rear-ended the Mercury.

Acevedo was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis for moderate injuries. Neither Lane nor Cavares were injured in the crash.

All three drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The Mercury was totaled, the box truck sustained extensive damages, and the semi sustained minor damages.
