Villa Ridge man injured in single-vehicle crash

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – One man was hospitalized following a single-vehicle collision in Franklin County Sunday evening.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway H and Angell Road.

Troopers believe 32-year-old Michael Swarthout was traveling at a speed too fast for road conditions when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a roadside tree.

Swarthout was transported to Missouri Baptist Sullivan for treatment of moderate injuries as a result of the crash. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
