Vehicle fire closes two lanes on I-55 NB in southwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle fire Tuesday evening shut down two right lanes on Interstate 55 northbound in southwest St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The incident occurred on a stretch of I-55 northbound south of Butler Hill Road and was reported at 6:52 p.m.

MoDOT STL projected the lanes would reopen almost an hour later at 7:40 p.m., suggesting a significant blaze.
