Update: Second person dies from injuries in Alton crash

ALTON, IL – A second person, who was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital for their injuries, died after being involved in a crash on Berm Highway on Saturday afternoon.

This is an update to an earlier post.

According to Alton Daily News, the double-fatality crash occurred on Berm Highway just west of Locks and Dams Way. One person was pronounced dead at the crash scene and another was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital. Police report the person airlifted to the hospital died from their injuries soon after arrival to the hospital.

Investigations into the cause of the single-vehicle crash are ongoing.
