Update: MSHP release more details for Highway 364 fatal crash

ST. CHARLES, MO – Julian Dichiaro, 29, died from injuries sustained in a crash on westbound Highway 364 just east of Gutermuth Road on Wednesday evening.

This is an update to an earlier post.

Dichiaro was traveling westbound on Highway 364 in a 2017 Hyundai Sonata when he traveled off the left side of the highway twice, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. The second time he struck a cable barrier.

The 29-year-old driver, of Longmont, CO, was transported to Progress West Hospital. He was pronounced dead there at 11:11 p.m. Police report he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

Debris from the crash struck a 2021 Volkswagen Passat and inflicted minor damages on the vehicle. The driver, 25-year-old Jacob S. Moran, was not injured.

The Hyundai was totaled in the crash.

It is unclear why Dichiaro traveled off the highway.
