FENTON, MO – An uninsured driver sustained minor injuries after his vehicle hit a concrete wall and rolled over early on Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 1:43 a.m. on June 1, while 19-year-old Jeramey Cobert was driving on I-44 near mile marker 257.4. Cobert’s 2016 Kia Rio ran off the left side of the road and crashed into a concrete wall, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The force of the impact caused the vehicle to roll over during the crash.
Police officers on the scene report that Cobert was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. However, Cobert sustained only minor injuries from the accident. An ambulance transported Cobert to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital for treatment after the incident.
Cobert’s Kia was totaled in the crash, and a tow truck had to remove it from the scene.
Officials reported that Cobert was unable to provide proof of insurance after the accident.
