Uninsured driver causes five-car crash on Highway 141

FENTON, MO – On Monday, night two people were injured during a five-car collision with a reckless, uninsured driver.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:02 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 141 and Fielder Lane, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.  The multi-car collision began when Kyle Stone, 33, crashed his 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 into the back of a 2013 Bick Verano. The Verano had stopped in the left turn lane on Highway 141 due to dense traffic at the intersection.

After crashing into the Verano, Stone continued driving and turned left onto Fielder Lane at a red light. A 2013 Ford F-150 was driving through the intersection and swerved to avoid hitting the Dodge. A 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 crashed into the side of the Ford when it swerved away from the Dodge. The force of the collision between the GMC and the Ford caused the Ford to hit the side of the Dodge.

The Dodge then crashed into a traffic light and rolled over. Debris flew off of the 1998 Dodge in the rollover crash and struck the hood of a nearby 2018 Dodge Charger.

Police officers on the scene reported two injuries from the multi-vehicle collision.  Linda Pfeil, 59, who was driving the GMC, sustained moderated injuries from the accident. However, Michael Stone, the 71-year-old passenger in the 1998 Dodge, sustained serious injuries from the crash. Both people were rushed to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.

After the incident, the police determine that Kyle Stone, the driver who caused the collision, could not provide proof of car insurance.
