Two young men injured in I-64 crash in St. Charles County

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO — Two Macon residents were hospitalized late Tuesday afternoon after a single-vehicle collision along Interstate 64 eastbound near Weldon Spring, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on a stretch of I-64 eastbound east of Research Park Drive and was reported at 4:48 p.m.

A 2007 Toyota Camry was going eastbound on I-64 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a concrete wall, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver and a passenger, nineteen and eighteen years of age respectively, suffered moderate to minor injuries and were both taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. No information has been disclosed on their conditions.

The Toyota Camry sustained total damage.
