Woman injured while pulling into Washington Co driveway

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO – A woman was injured while pulling into her driveway Thursday morning when another motorist failed to slow down, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Missouri Route 21 and Blue Jay Road.

Myrtle Boyer, 32, slowed down to pull into a driveway on MO-21. Jason Dement, 43,  failed to slow down in time and rear-ended Boyer’s 2006 Ford Explorer with his 2011 GMC Sierra 3500.

Boyer was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital.

Boyer’s vehicle was severely damaged in the accident, but was driven from the scene.
