Two seriously injured after rear-ended vehicle hits rock

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO — Two people are seriously injured after their vehicle was hit and then flipped over on US 67 Wednesday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

While traveling south of Route JJ on the roadway a 2013 Chevrolet Captiva hit the front right side of a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Officials say the Wrangler continued down the side then hit a rock bluff causing it to flip over. 

Both the driver, as well as a female occupants of the vehicle, were transported to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of their injuries.
