Two people sustain minor injuries in eastbound I-70 accident

ST. CHARLES, MO – Two people sustained minor injuries in an accident on eastbound I-70 east of South 5th Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Police report Charla R. Montgomery, 24, was traveling east on I-70 in a 2007 Saturn Vue when she lost control. Her Saturn traveled off the right side of the interstate and hit a median wall around 12:55 p.m.

Montgomery, of Warrenton, and a passenger in his Saturn, 26-year-old Gabriel T. Montgomery, were transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for minor injuries. Neither were wearing seat belts.

The Saturn was totaled.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
