Two people seriously injured in Camden County accident

SUNRISE BEACH, MO – Two people were seriously injured in a head-on crash on Missouri 5 on Thursday afternoon.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 32-year-old Marie I. Capps was traveling north on Missouri 5 in a 2010 Hyundai. She traveled into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a 2008 Lincoln driven by 62-year-old Thomas P. Denvir. The accident happened at Deer Valley Road around 3:27 p.m.

Capps and Denvir were transported to Lake Regional Hospital. They were both wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles were totaled.
