Two people injured in Washington County motorcycle crash

CADET, MO – Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on westbound Missouri 47 on Wednesday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael S. Boltzman, 55, was traveling west on Missouri 47 in a 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6 when an unknown vehicle traveled towards the motorcycle. Boltzman swerved to miss the vehicle and traveled off the east edge of the road. The motorcycle hit the ground and overturned around 7:03 p.m.

Both Boltzman, of Potosi, and a passenger, 42-year-old Jacalyn S. Yount, were both ejected from the motorcycle. They were both wearing seat belts.

Boltzman sustained serious injuries and Yount sustained minor injuries. They were both transported to Mercy Hospital South.

The motorcycle was totaled.
