Two people injured in two-vehicle Jefferson County crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – Two people, including one 7-year-old child, were injured in a crash on Route V at Reynolds Creek Road on Tuesday afternoon.

A 2004 Ford Escape driven by 29-year-old Chelsie West struck a 2017 Mack Truck around 12:10 p.m. police reported.

West and her juvenile passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash. She was transported to Mercy Hospital South and the female child was transported to a children’s hospital.

The Escape driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the left side of the rear axle on the truck. The car skidded onto the right side of the road and struck the embankment.
