Two people injured in southbound US-61 accident

WENTZVILLE, MO – Two people were injured in an accident on southbound US-61 north of North Point Prairie Road on Monday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Justin B. Gribbin, 31, was traveling south on US-61 in a cement mixer truck when he attempted to switch lanes. He struck a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 73-year-old Robert G. Brown, around 10:36 p.m.

Brown, of Troy, and a passenger in his vehicle, 69-year-old Valerie A. Brown, were transported to St. Joseph West for minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

The Chevrolet sustained moderate damages and the concrete mixer sustained minor damages.
