Two people injured in single-vehicle crash on Missouri 79

LINCOLN COUNTY, MO – Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash on northbound Missouri 79 on Thursday evening.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 31-year-old James R. Lautenschlager was traveling north on Missouri 79 in a 2007 GMC Envoy. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road north of Highway N and hit an embankment around 8 p.m.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.

Lautenschlager and a 22-year-old female passenger were transported to Mercy Hospital Lincoln for minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

The GMC sustained minor damages.
