Two people injured in Pike County intersection accident

PIKE COUNTY, MO – Two people sustained injuries after their two vehicles collide at US-61 and State Highway NN on Monday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 66-year-old Rosalie A. White, of Bowling Green, was traveling eastbound on US-61 in a 2015 Kia Sorento and failed to yield to a 1992 Honda Accord that was traveling northbound on State Highway NN.

The front-end of the Honda struck the passenger side of the Kia.

Both White and the driver of the Honda, 61-year-old Thomas V. Bagwell, sustained minor injuries. White was transported to Pike County Memorial Hospital and Bagwell, of O’Fallon, was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis.

Neither White nor Bagwell were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

The Honda sustained extensive damages and the Kia sustained moderate damages.
