Two people injured in Lincoln County intersection collision

LINCOLN COUNTY, MO – Two people were injured in a collision at the intersection of US-61 and Highway B on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dennis C. Feilner, 84, was traveling west on Highway B in a 2012 Chevrolet Impala. Jeremy L. Baker, 30, was traveling north on US-61 in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta. Feilner failed to yield to Baker causing the front of the Volkswagen to hit the driver’s side of the Chevrolet around 4:05 p.m.

An 81-year-old female passenger in the Chevrolet was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for serious injuries. Feilner was transported to Mercy St. Louis for moderate injuries. Both injured people and Baker were wearing seat belts.

The Volkswagen was totaled and the Chevrolet sustained extensive damages.
