Two people injured in Jefferson County police chase

DITTMER, MO – Two people sustained minor injuries when they crashed head-on to a police vehicle during a police chase on Canyon Lane and State Route WW on Sunday evening.

Police report a 2014 Ford Taurus was pursuing a 2002 Nissan Xterra with it’s emergency equipment on around 5:56 p.m. The Nissan swerved in front of the Ford, causing the two vehicles to collide head-on.

Both 36-year-old Megan McKinney and 40-year-old James McKinney were transported to Mercy Hospital South. James was the driver of the Nissan and Megan was a passenger.
