Two people injured in De Soto intersection collision

DE SOTO, MO – Two people were injured in a collision on Highway 110 at Athena School Road on Saturday night.
Police report Ashley Baker, 22, was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy northbound on Athena School Road when she traveled into the path of 2008 Jeep Liberty traveling eastbound on Highway 110. It is unclear what caused the crash.
The driver of the Jeep, 43-year-old Thomas Minard, and one of its passengers, 66-year-old Cheryl Wilmoth, were transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Minard sustained minor injuries and Wilmoth sustained moderate injuries.
