Two people injured during motorcycle rollover crash near Montauk State Park

DENT COUNTY, MO – Two people were injured after a motorcycle overturned near a state park in Dent County last night, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on County Road 6670, about a mile east of Montauk State Park, 16 miles southwest of Salem, and 4.5 miles southwest of Jadwin, at 8:25 p.m.

The driver of a 2001 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle, 35-year-old Salem man Damon C. Robertson, lost control of the vehicle while rounding a curve. The motorcycle then went off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

A passenger, 36-year-old Salem woman Belinda J. Watson, was taken to the hospital in Salem with moderate wounds.

Robertson sustained minor injuries during the crash and refused transport at the scene.

Neither of the victims was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
