Two people injured after vehicle hits tree in St. Francois County

BONNE TERRE, MO – Two people were injured after hitting a tree off of southbound US-67 just south of Cherokee Landing on Wednesday night.

Christopher L. Duncan, 32, was traveling southbound on US-67 in a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander when he went off the left side of the road and hit a tree, police report.

Two passengers were transported to Parkland Health Center North – Bonne Terre. Nicole L. Gevermuehle, 30, sustained minor injuries. Amber M. Kimbler, 33, sustained moderate injuries.

Duncan was not injured in the crash.

It is unclear why Duncan traveled off the road. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing

The Chevrolet was totaled in the crash.
