Two people ejected from vehicles in St. Charles Co. collision

WELDON SPRING, MO – Two people were ejected from their vehicles Wednesday night when an underage driver ran a red light and struck another vehicle, according to a the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

An unnamed 16-year-old male driver failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Highway 94 at O’Fallon Road, then crashed his 2012 Ford F-150 into a 2016 Jeep Wrangler driven by Samantha Christie, 29. The force of the impact ejected Christie and a 16-year-old female passenger in the F-150 onto the roadway.

Police were on the scene by 9:00 p.m.

Christie was taken to Mercy Hospital and is listed in serious condition. The 16-year-old female was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital and is also in serious condition.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
