Two injured when Ferrari crashes on I-55

ST. LOUIS, MO – Two people were injured Saturday night in a car accident on Interstate 55, according to a crash report published by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at 7:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-55, near Bayless Avenue.

The driver of a 2007 Ferrari S430 Spider, 56-year-old James L. Pepper, of Columbia, Illinois, lost control of the vehicle. The Ferrari then ran off the side of the roadway, leading to the injury of Pepper and a passenger, St. Louis woman Jennifer M. Schreyer, 39.

Pepper was sent to Mercy Hospital with moderate injuries, while Schreyer’s were considered serious.

Both victims were wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

The Ferrari was totaled in the collision.
