Two injured in two-vehicle crash along US-50 in Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO — Two people were injured in an accident involving two cars on US-50 in Johnson County, according to a crash report by Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Police reported the crash on a stretch of US-50 about 1,029 feet west of Route D at around 9:52 p.m.

According to the report, a 2020 Hyundai Elantra was attempting to cross US-50 when it failed to yield to traffic, striking the side of a 2010 Buick Enclave.

The driver and one passenger of the causing Hyundai Elantra were both injured and taken to Western Missouri Medical Center.

Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
