Two injured in two-car collision on MO-47 near Troy

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO — Two people were injured Thursday evening in a crash involving two vehicles on Missouri Route 47 near Troy, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at the intersection where MO-47 meets Highway H and was reported by Trooper A. D. Pogue at 6:30 p.m.

A 2005 Chrysler Town & Country failed to yield to a 2016 Ford Focus and struck the Focus head-on.

Both drivers were injured in the incident.

The causing driver, a 32-year-old Richwoods man, was taken by MSHP troopers to Washington County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The crash report indicates he was not wearing a seat belt at the time.

The victim driver, a 37-year-old St. Clair woman, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. Her condition has not been disclosed.
