Two hospitalized after US-67 southbound crash in St. Francois County

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO — Two Pevely residents were injured Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash on US Route 67 southbound near Bonne Terre, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at Parkwood Drive and was reported at 8:35 a.m.

A 2014 Ford Escape was traveling in the southbound lanes of US-67 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, causing it to overturn and hit the ground.

The driver, a 67-year-old, and his occupant, a 63-year-old woman, both sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to Bonne Terre’s Parkland Health Center North.

The crash report attributes high speed on wet road conditions as the cause of crash.
