Two drivers sustain serious injuries in Highway N head-on crash

ROBERTSVILLE, MO – Two drivers sustained serious injuries in head-on collision on Highway N on Wednesday morning.

Rocky W. Lachance, 42, was traveling in the southbound lanes of Highway N when he drove his 2010 Volkswagen Jetta into oncoming traffic, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. His Jetta struck a 2012 Honda CRV, driven by 73-year-old Dorothy M. Coleman, head-on. The collision occurred at 4166 Highway N around 11:55 a.m.

Both Lachance and Coleman were transported to Mercy Hospital Washington. Lachance was not wearing a seat belt, but Coleman was wearing hers.

Police report both vehicles were totaled.

It is unclear why Lachance traveled onto the wrong side of the highway.
