Trials to Resume against Bayer Monsanto for Cancer Linked to Roundup

As we explained last month, Bayer/Monsanto has come to the table with a less-than-fair settlement offer that would leave thousands of victims with less than $10,000 to compensate them for what has often been hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills, loss of their livelihoods, and lives shattered by cancer. We believe you deserve more, and we are putting pressure on Bayer/Monsanto to take responsibility for the harm they have caused.

As we told you, we are moving forward with our plans to take more cases to trial. Juries have already awarded plaintiffs billions of dollars in court, and we have no doubt that the continued financial losses and continued exposure of Bayer/Monsanto’s wrongdoing will work in your favor.

According to the court, bellwether trials are slated to begin in early 2021. Our Roundup team is preparing for court, and once again, will be ready.

From the beginning, we have told you that this will be a prolonged process. We understand the frustration you may be going through, because we are often frustrated too. Bayer/Monsanto has dragged all of us through far too much, first by trying to use false science to discredit the fact that their products cause cancer, then by proposing that victims settle for pennies on the dollar—all while they continue to pocket billions of dollars from the sale of Roundup and Roundup-Ready seeds.

Like every other sector of our society, our courts are still reeling from the effects of COVID-19. Our offices have been operating at full capacity, meeting filing deadlines, interviewing potential witnesses, gathering and indexing medical records, and taking care of the mountains of details involved in mass tort cases like these.

While other law firms and businesses have furloughed staff during this unprecedented time, we have steadily continued to hire more team members so that we can best serve our clients. We continue to be dedicated to holding Bayer/Monsanto and other corporations accountable for the damage they’ve done by putting profits over people.

This is not just a case to us. It’s your life, and we understand how important this is to you.

We have said from the beginning that we will fight for you. Not only does that mean we are fighting for monetary compensation (which we are), but we are also fighting for your children, your grandchildren, and generations beyond all of us.

We want Bayer/Monsanto to be forced to change how they do business. We will not allow them to continue to poison farmers, landscapers, and other people working hard to feed their families. Holding Bayer/Monsanto accountable for the damage they’ve caused is critical—for you, and for all Americans.

Together, we are making a difference. Thank you for your continued trust and patience.
