IMPERIAL, MO – Three people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle collision on northbound US-61 on Monday afternoon.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Eutonia M. Bilderback, 48, was traveling southbound on US-61 when she crossed over into oncoming traffic in her 2006 Dodge Dakota just south of Glenda Drive around 2:35 p.m.
After traveling on northbound US-61 in the wrong direction, the Dodge struck the side of a 2003 GMC Sierra, driven by 60-year-old David W. Schaper, and collided head-on with a 2006 Volvo XC90, driven by 23-year-old Darby S. Fanger.
Bilderback sustained minor injuries. Fanger and a passenger in the Volvo, 21-year-old Corinne R. McKean, sustained moderate injuries. All three were transported to Mercy Hospital South.
McKean was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Police report all three drivers were wearing seat belts.
The Dodge and Volvo sustained extensive damages and the GMC sustained moderate damages.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
