Three people injured in Jefferson County accident

FESTUS, MO – Three people were injured in a crash on northbound US-67 at Montauk Drive on Friday morning.

Henry Patrick, 76, was traveling west on Montauk Drive in a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. He drove into the path of a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by 22-year-old Amanda L. Blum, traveling north on US-67. Blum attempted to swerve to avoid the Hyundai, but still struck the rear of the vehicle.

Patrick, Blum, and a 61-year-old passenger in the Hyundai were all transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for minor injuries. All three people were wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damages.
