WENTZVILLE, MO – Three people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on northbound Highway DD on Wednesday afternoon.
A cargo van, driven by 29-year-old Dean B. Anthony, and a 2015 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 57-year-old Douglas S. Lee, were stopped in traffic on northbound Highway DD waiting to turn left, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. Michelle R. Finch, 63, was traveling north on Highway DD in a 2017 Ford Escape. She became distracted and rear-ended the Jeep. The impact pushed the Jeep into the rear of the cargo van. Police report debris from the crash struck a southbound 2014 Ford Expedition, driven by 48-year-old Brandi N. Scarr. The accident happened around 12:20 p.m.
Lee, of Defiance, Finch, of Lake St. Louis, and a passenger in the Escape, 27-year-old Jamie L. Finch, were all transported to SSM St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis for minor injuries.
All four drivers and the injured passenger were wearing seat belts.
The Escape sustained extensive damages and the other three vehicles sustained minor injuries.
