Teenage girl injured in Hwy 161 crash near New Hartford

NEW HARTFORD, MO — A 16-year-old girl sustained injuries in a crash Wednesday morning along Highway 161 near New Hartford, according to a crash report by the the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The highway crash occurred at Pike County Road 324 and was reported around 6:42 a.m.

A 49-year-old female driver was traveling southbound on Highway 161 in a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer when her vehicle was struck by a 2019 Ford F250 while she was attempting to pass it.

The woman’s car traveled off to the right of the roadway and overturned.

The injured girl, who was a passenger in the Ford, was airlifted to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

The woman and the Ford driver, a 17-year-old male, were not reported to be injured.
